Homeowner's Responsibility for Utilities
Our policy for transfer / termination of home's utility accounts are as follows:
Shoemaker Homes establishes the electrical, water and gas meter utilities while the home is under construction.
Shoemaker Homes will send a request for termination of services to the electrical, water and gas companies two days prior to the scheduled closing of your home with a cutoff date three days after closing. Please make arrangements to have the utilities transferred into your name to avoid having an interruption in service.
